by Binary News NetworkFebruary 21, 2025

Nashville, TN, 21st February 2025, ZEX PR WIRE, In recognition of World Civil Defense Day, the Church of Scientology Nashville is proud to announce a Disaster Preparedness and Response Festival on Saturday, March 8th, to raise awareness and prepare the community for severe weather events. The festival will take place at the Church of Scientology Nashville, located at 1130 8th Avenue South.

March weather in Tennessee has brought its share of challenges in recent years, with tornadoes, flash floods, and severe thunderstorms frequently impacting the region. The Disaster Preparedness Festival aims to equip individuals and families with vital information, resources, and tools to face potential emergencies with confidence.

The festival will feature:

  • Interactive Booths: Local organizations and emergency responders will share practical tips and resources for storm preparedness, flood safety, and emergency planning.

  • Guest Speakers: Experts in disaster response and recovery will provide insights into protecting yourself, your loved ones, and your property during severe weather.

  • Kids’ Activities: Fun and educational activities will help younger attendees learn about safety in a hands-on way.

“The goal of this festival is to bring the community together to proactively prepare for the unexpected,” said Julie Brinker, representative of the Church of Scientology Nashville. “With knowledge and preparation, we can save lives and minimize the impact of disasters.”

World Civil Defense Day, observed annually on March 1st, highlights the importance of disaster preparedness and prevention. The Church of Scientology’s Volunteer Ministers have a long history of providing aid in disaster-stricken areas, and this festival is an extension of their commitment to helping others.
